Communities Unlimited Inc. (CU), is seeking to fill the position of Source Water Coordinator, with primary responsibility for provision of onsite technical assistance to individual household well owners in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee as well as provision of source water training to other CU environmental staff and owners of private wells. In addition, this position has the responsibility of providing onsite technical assistance to existing water supply facilities in small communities and rural areas in Louisiana that are experiencing operational, managerial and/or regulatory compliance-related difficulties and problems.
CU is a nonprofit community development organization founded in Arkansas in 1976. CU’s mission is to move rural and under-resourced communities in areas of persistent poverty to sustainable prosperity. The technical assistance provided by the Source Water Coordinator is supported through CU’s membership in the national Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP, Inc.) network and under contracts with Federal and/or state agencies. CU is one of six members of RCAP, Inc. which collectively provides environmental services to all U.S. states and territories.
CU staff provide a full range of management consulting, technical assistance, financing and training to strengthen rural communities and small businesses. We serve the following seven states: Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.
